EOY Pictures, Thoughts and Reflections~

Yay~! Yesterday was our very first outside exposure for our products~!!!
Yan Hsiang Worked SUPPER hard on the hoodies and dresses and jackets you see lined up~
She was up till four the night before the event, and then got up very early and finished
everything just in time for us to get to the place and set up~

Here are some pictures of the event~ The rest you can see at our FB page~ :3

We met some old friend, such as Haruka for Yan Hsiang and Fiona For me~ and some really nice people~ Some of them who left their emails behind~ *yay* So we shall be having a newsletter soon~!!! :3

It was amazing though~ All that talent. There was this amazing girl and her friend called Fluffy, right behind our booth <3 really amazing stuff there~ and a lot of the people there were awesome. o.o I'm definitely going to do EOY 2012~

However on another note, I felt totally unprepared for yesterday's event. Have you ever felt like that? All left -feet and unsure of yourself? I think I was the grumpiest and moodiest I've ever been at an event, and I think it was due to the lack of proper preparation and awareness of how to talk/act or behave at such events @_@ And my hair~!!!! oh gosh...you should have seen it~! it was such a mess. o.o The camera here really flatters me o.o;;;;; in real life it was horrible -_-

But I'm so glad we did it. Being out there, with our stuff, really was an eye opener. I realized just how far i've come from admiring Black Alice's and Moi-meme-Moitie's Lolita Fashions... I just no longer see myself in large skirts and lace and frills, though I still like them. I feel like I need to invest even more time and thought into my pieces and pick out what is it that makes Artmiucutie the way it is...and not just flounder around in a sea of wonder.

So right now I'm thinking of revamping everything. New photography, new items, and definitely an END-OF-THE-YEAR SALE~ cause some of our adorable fans~ o.o;;;; like these two really cute girls, one in white hair and one in black hair, as well as these really pretty New Zealanders (should have got their emails~! o.o;;;; they were such sweet peeps~!!!!!) were saying the products were a bit too pricey~ -_- so after I discuse with Yan Hsiang, I'll see what we can do about that :3

Overall, it was a very good experience. We only sold one item, which was our Punk-Styled Arm Guards: Red Checkered Wrist Guard But I think we gained a lot in being out there, with all those other great talents. Especially me. Comb your hair before you leave the house~!!! Don't expect you can comb it while several million Cosplayers are blocking your way to the bathroom mirror~!!! XD DAMN~!!!!!!!!!

So yup~ you'll hear from us again soon~! Keep watching this page <3

WORK IN PROGRESS~ STEAMPUNK JACKET

KYA~ Kya~ KYA~~~!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! LOLS FINALLY, BUNNY TWIN GARMENT MAKER MAKES HER FIRST POST HERE AT BLOGSPOT!!! XDXDXD *LAUGHS*

First of all, I can't thank

my LOVELY BUNNEH ARTIST TWIN enough for all her hard work and contributions towards ARTMICUTIE!!! To be honest, if it wasn't for her determination and dedication in building up and maintaining every speck of our blogs and site, I'd have just died in my sad corner.... my brain gathering dust as I let my creative passion waste away and all my waking energy squeezed like a fruit blender till every last drop is sucked out of me in my current job... XDXD

So.... a MILLION THANKS TO MY BUNNEH TWIN!!! HELP MEH APPRECIATE HER BY VISITING HER ART AND IF U LIKE A PRETTY PIECE ON YOUR WALL, DO MAKE A SMALL PURCHASE OF HER PRINTS!! XD http://aoide.yolasite.com/home-3.php

LOLS!! And at last, I have gotten an OVERLOCK MACHINE!!! I cant tell u enough how much the machine means to me and how impt it is for me!!! *laughs* it has been painful all the past 3 years sewing all the

wrist cuffs and guards without overlock lols! Coz though I had a sewing machine, I had to find other means and ways of stitching to ensure the frayed edges doesn't show!! XD AM soo incredibly happy! All thanks to my Mom for getting it for me first haha.... coz I really couldn't wait anymore!! I've got soooo amny ideas bursting out of me and I feel I've been letting my bunneh twin down for not doing anything

for over one whole year!!! X__X Finally in June this year I made our first ARTM

IUCUTIE outer! It's colourful, quirky and very Jap in terms of fabrication lols (will post pics in next post)!!!

Anyway I need to return my Mom the money also haha but at least for now I can sew all the ARTMIUCUTIE clothes properly!!! XD and first off, the first garment that I sewed (which required overlock) is this STEAMPUNK BOLERO!!! Here are pictures of work in progress! The final product will be a brown twill jacket (like blazer suit jackets), with the metal embellishments.

FRONT DRAFT view(embellishments are roughly lay out on a random jacket to help me decide the look!)

BACK DRAFT view (embellishments are roughly lay out on random jacket to help me decide the look!) The back looks good ne? Heex…. I’ve n

ever done something like this before, so I’m not sure how it will turn out… but I’m excited abt it,haha and can’t wait to finish it.! Lols!

Work in Progress #2 - Hand-Painted Cloth

Yay~!!! Okay~ I'm hand-painting several cotton pieces~

These are the first three I've created :3

Morning Glory:
I drew her too long and not wide enough for my liking, so I cut her out from the bigger
piece of cloth and am going to work on her separately...maybe I'll sew her into another piece of cloth...who knows :3 shall discuss it with my bunneh-twin~ X3

Blue Flower:
She doesn't have a name yet~ I think when I saw the material, with the
embroidered flowers I fell in love with it instantly, and knew
I had to paint on it!
Usagi-chan, I really hope you like her~!!! :3

A Sky Dream:

This pink-haired girl is one of the first few ideas I had when I wanted to
start work on this hand-painted-cloth series~
I hope she turns out as darling as I hope her to be~!

Thats all for now, come again tomorrow to see more lovelies~! :3

Art for Artmiucutie - Avine and Undine

We're making hand-painted bags at the moment~!!!!!

*so excited*

I wanted to get some practice with watercolors before
I painted on these beautiful materials Yannie has let me use
for the creation of our handmade bags~

The first Art Work I created for Artmiucutie was "Undine":

I was inspired by a poem similarly titled by Jane Yolan.

Then more recently, in fact, finished last night~!!!!! "Avine":

Who is a vine-spirit of a dream forest which I have been building for a while.
Like building castles in the air? I'm building forest in my dreams~ :3

You can find them on our Esty~! :

Now~! On to the cloths and patterns~

Rose Quartz and Carnelian Stones

I finished three of the other stones~!!!
So in the afternoon I took dozens of pictures~:

Rose Quartz (Oval-shaped)

An oval-shaped Rose Quartz nestled in a metal-hoop mesh~
It took me a while to get it just right

What with all the unhooking and re-hooking so that
stray chain doesn't stick out unnecessarily~

And it was so worth it! I love the result :3

Rose Quartz (Heart-shaped)

A sort of heart-shaped Rose Quartz~
It was the first one I did, and I made it such that a corner
of the stone was able to peek out of it's nest,
as though it was love-overflowing it's constrains~

Carnelian (An Irregular Teardrop-shaped)

I think I took the most number of pictures with the Carnelian
as I wanted to get it's duo-personalities;
In the sun, it glows with an inner fire
and under normal light, it is tranquil, it's color
just peeking out from within it's metallic nest~

They are available on our esty~!

Bunneh 2 (a.k.a Fred), is modeling them~

~Amethyst Madness~!

I've finished deciding what to do with the Amethyst stones
and fixing them together~ They are available on Esty now~

The pendants are rather versatile, as you can
hook them onto a chain as charm bracelet, or wear them
on a chain or a leather strap as a necklace:

There is also the rather elaborate "Amethyst River"
Which is my favourite as it's a string of
small Amethyst stones and little glass
beads, with the larger plump amethyst which
I kinda liked a lot as the piece's cap-stone~:

The bracelet was inspired mostly by the metal circles which
I really love as they are so slender and yet
they are so awkward in a sense...they must dream of being something
larger, like hoops, but must settle for the inbetween~:

Small metal beads are also strung on the metal circles~
Somehow the idea of something to fiddle with on the circles
themselves gave me such delight when creating the piece~
XD I'm a sort of can-this-be-fiddled-with? creator...
if you can fiddle with it, then it's perfect :3

And last but not least, The Amethyst Piece,
Which I choose specifically because of the shape of
the stone. It's such a unique shape amongst my stones,
and has such a presence, that I could see immediately that
it needed it's own chain, and should be worn alone, like
a choker or a simple pendant-on-a-chain:

Lovin' them all~
